Phaya Tao Ruean, a tortoise amulet has played in Thai belief for a long time. Tortoise also relates to Buddha’s story that he was once born as a tortoise. In Thailand, you can see tortoise amulets or sculptures placed in houses and establishments especially a shop mostly wished for good luck and successful business. About LP Phet of Wat Sai Tong Pattana:
LP Phet is an abbot of Wat Sai Tong Pattana in Kanchanaburi Province. He is a good monk who wants to develop the temple in order to maintain Buddhism.
LP Phet was born on 20 March B.E. 2507 (C.E. 1964) in Nakhon Pathom Province. He got ordained at Wat Sala Tuek, Nakhon Pathom Province. After ordination, he learnt dharma and magic from LP Jiak, a guru monk in Nakhon Pathom. In fact, there are many famous guru monks in Nakhon Pathom for example LP Yam of Wat Sam Ngam (alive) and LP Pern of Wat Bang Phra (passed away).
LP Phet served LP Jiak until LP Jiak passed away. After that, he went to Wat Rai Tang Thong, Nakhon Pathom. At Wat Rai Tang Thong, LP Phet met and learnt more magic from LP Liew who is an abbot and a famous guru monk in Nakhon Pathom. In fact, LP Liew is expert at making Phaya Tao Ruean (a lucky tortoise amulet). Therefore, LP Liew taught LP Phet making Phaya Tao Ruean.
LP Phet learnt magic from LP Liew until he became an expert. He can make powerful Phaya Tao Ruean as LP Liew did. LP Phet took care of LP Liew very well and was disciple whom LP Liew trusted. LP Liew assigned LP Phet to be an abbot of Wat Sai Tong Pattana where LP Liew established in place of him.
Additionally, when LP Phet has free time, he goes on a pilgrimage to practice dharma, do meditation and revise magic he studied. Later, LP Phet learnt making holy water called Nammon Thewada from LP Key at Wat See Lum Yong in Surin Province. In fact, holy water by LP Key is famous.
