The Taep Pamorn amulets derive from an occasion where Kroo Ba Krissana Intawano was meditating at Wat Pha Weluwan and saw a Nimitta vision of the God Shiva appear and transform into a Butterfly. In fact, the image of the Taep Pamorn Jamlaeng derives from a mixture of the Sariga Dong paradise bird, and an Ancient Wicha of the Khmer, which disappeared from general public knowledge for many centuries, because of only few masters possessing the Wicha.
