Biography of LP Yod:
Luang Phor Yod is a direct disciple of Luang Pu Jai, Wat Sadej and is also the grand-nephew of Luang Pu Yim, Wat Nong Bua, Kanchanaburi province, both of whom are top guru monks in Thailand's history. Luang Phor Yod's disciple is presently a famous guru monk Maha Surasak, Wat Pradoo.
LP Yod was a famous guru monk and a former abbot of Wat Kaew Charoen in Samutsongkharm Province. LP Yod was born on Tuesday the 16th May 1911 in Rajchaburi Province. When he was 18, he got ordained as a novice at Wat Kaew Charoen, Samutsongkharm Province. After ordination, he looked after LP Plian, an abbot of Wat Kaew Charoen at that time and studied dharma and meditation with him. He stayed at Wat Kaew Charoen until he got ordained as a monk when he was 20 at this temple. LP Yod was very grateful to LP Plian. He took care of him closely until the last time of LP Plian.
LP Yod was once a teacher of LP Maha Surasak in teaching him wisha (magic). After LP Plian passed away on the 16th August 1941, LP Yord was elected as an abbot of Wat Kaew Charoen. LP Yod passed away on the 12th March 1998 at the age of 86.
