The reason for the creation of this batch of Rian Sema 7 Rob is to build a 'Kuti', which means the living quarters of the monks living in the temple and in conjunction with the 7th anniversary 84 year old Luang Phor. This means more people can 'buat' (become a monk) which is good merit.
Phor Than Eaum of Samnak Song Pathibat Tham Suanpa Taling Chan, Pattalung was born in a poor family. Prior to becoming a bot, PT Eaum was a karawat and farmer in the village. PT Eaum was married before and has a very big and loving family. His father-in-law was one of the famous karawat Mor Kiew (Doctor Kiew), the disciple of Ajarn Thong Tao (the famous geji ajarn of Wat Kao Or).
PT Eaum once told his disciple Mr.O a lecturer, that he described how Ajarn Parn invites PT to walk out with him. Ajarn Parn took hold of his hand and said, one day your road will be very clear and bright and you should choose that road. PT Eaum was not sure what Ajarn Parn meant. After many years has passed, PT Eaum made a decision one day and announce to all family member that he want to buat together with his grandson for 7 days.
It is a custom for children to buat when they reach an age. So PT Eaum underwent the buat ceremony together with his grandson. During the buat period, PT Eaum encountered endless dreams of monk robes, monk equipments every night and PT Eaum was confused. On the 6th day, PT Eaum had the answer to his dream. He decided to buat forever, as he knew it was his calling.
PT Eaum's upacha is named Prakru Udom Panya Koon of Wat Kuan Pana Tang, Talaynoi, Pattalung. PT Eaum stayed there for 15 years. Until 9 years ago PT left the temple and went tudong at Taling Chan forest. Behind the Samnak, is the famous tudong area called Kumb Sabb. Where monks went to undergo their tudong practise. It was told, no monks is able to withstand more than 7 days, because the land there has Win Yan and Chao Tee Rang, which is known to us as spirits, land deity, Dato Kong. There are a total of 3 spirits, who happens to be a family. They will always chase away any monks who came to the forest.
One fine day when PT Eaum was cooking, The 3 spirits came to see PT and told him, if you want to stay here you must make a promise that all the old trees at Taling Chan are not to be chopped. PT Eaum agreed and promised. Hence PT Eaum stayed at Taling Chan until now. The people at Taling Chan started to invite PT out to stay in a kuti many years ago, when his disciple Mr.O felt a deep respect to PT and they help build the kuti for PT.
